Cape Town Guest House

When we sat down to make a list of all our personal favourite spots in Cape Town, the list was so long we started to laugh. We couldn't help reminiscing of the good times we've had, which is exactly why 'our town' is such a magical place to visit. There are countless things to see and do within such a short distance to accommodate all styles and desires.

From the old class charm of the historic buildings lining the city centre to the romance amongst the oldest vineyards in Constantia, these both can be seen in one afternoon. For any occasion, there is something that fits every child and adult, which is the allure to us who live here. You can ride a horse along Noordhoek beach, visit various outdoor food and trade markets, or see a real live fish market in Kalk Bay before you tuck into some super fresh calamari yourself. Experience High Tea at the Mount Nelson or hide away for sundowners at a smaller unknown beach along the way to Llandudno beach, a family oriented span of sand where surfers and dogs enjoy it the same.

If that's doesn't spark your fancy, you can go shopping in the V&A Waterfront after a boat cruise around the harbour or seeing the ragger-toothed sharks at the aquarium, visit Robben Island in honour of Nelson Mandela, then walk back to Cheviot Place along the Promenade watching the waves crash while having an ice cream or a glass of wine and some sushi. No.... then ride the cable car up Table Mountain for sunset, have some dinner and listen to local music on Long Street, then make your way back towards Lion's Head for a full moon hike and really feel like it was designed for you.

The options are forever endless, come rain or shine, whether you are a history buff, daredevil or avid wine and food taster. The people and their different cultures have so much to teach us all, which is a strong contribution to why Cape Town is on the map and has the chance to show you all it knows. We say magical because the magic is there, you just need to find it for yourself.
